Having a great time with a local high-school photography class! Myself and a group of other photographers (mostly from a local camera club) were connected with a high-school advanced photography student in order to mentor some amazing students. We’ve worked on a couple of projects together which was lots of fun! The first project was coming up with a fun photo having something to do with games that we played as children. The student I was paired up with is a fabulous photographer and had the idea of photographing us and photoshopping us onto a game board. We got lots of great photos but this one captures her idea the best.

Yesterday we all met on the Embarcadero in Morro Bay for a scavenger hunt photo walk. It’s always a challenge to photograph a location that you are really familiar with so having a shoot list was helpful. Here are a few from the scavenger hunt.

Divine Coincidence
Gotta love how God orchestrates things! A little over a week ago I was having coffee with a friend and she suggested that we drive out to a winery to see the farm animals that her son is in charge of. We made plans to take a drive and make a fun day out of it the following week. Well the very next day, my brother who lives in Pennsylvania sends me a text asking me if I had any photos of chickens, cows and pigs for him to use in his restaurant. My brother owns a great Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurant in Upper Darby.
I guess you could call that a coincidence but I also think that these things have a Divine Coordinator behind them!
My friend and I drove out to Tablas Creek Winery in Paso Robles on a beautiful winter day. Besides tasting fabulous wines we got to visit with my friend’s son and meet some really cute baby lambs along with a few more characters of the Barnyard sort.
Tablas Creek Winery states on their blog that they are “moving forward with our Biodynamic program throughout the property, including additional work with compost, cover crops, and Biodynamic preparations. One of the keys to Biodynamics is biodiversity in flora, fauna and (consequently) microbes, and it is the additions to the fauna that have been the most visible manifestation of our moves to Biodynamics.”
If you are in the Paso Robles area or plan to visit soon, Tablas Creek is definitely worth exploring!
Here is a little video I put together:
